Woke up this morning and played a $5 non-turbo SnG. Unfortunately, I had an absolute maniac from Germany sitting to my immediately left. Fifty hands into the game, his VPIP was 85% and he had an infinite aggression factor. Worse, I was totally card dead. The only hand I picked up was KK in middle position and my moderate raise was folded to by everyone, including the maniac. Too bad, as he basically bet into everyone else, raising with second pair, draws, stone cold bluffs, etc. The maniac took out every single other player at the table by doing this. Then we got to the bubble, and I made my one stupid mistake that cost me dearly. I was third stack on the bubble and had a real shot at the money, but for some reason raised KTo UTG. The second stack pushed against me, and instead of folding, I called. DUMB. I went out in fourth place. I easily could have moneyed if I had just stayed the course and remembered the rule of taking the hill: only play a hand you’re willing to take a reraise with when on the bubble and in decent chip shape. Dammit.
Played a few other SnGs. Moneyed in a few, lost a few. Was card dead again, and really just wasn't playing very strongly. Sigh.
