Well, it only took 48 days to accomplish, but according to PT3, my bankroll is now officially back to where it started when I purchased and installed the new PokerTracker3 software. Sigh. Hopefully now I can keep growing the 'roll upwards from zero and eliminate any serious backsliding.
In other news, I played a $2 SnG yesterday and got killed. Thirty five (35!) hands into the tournament and I didn't have one single playable hand. Per plan, I started off pretty tight, but once the blinds got up to 40/80 and I felt I had to start playing some hands, the other players upstream of me went into bezerko mode. All-in after all-in after all-in… it was crazy. I had zero maneuvering room and in the end decided to make my stand with K8s when I got down to T800. Of course the one guy who called me had A8 and I was--poof--out, just like that.
I think the lesson to (re)learn here is to not get blinded down to a point in a tourney where you have to make a stand with some marginal hand like K8s. Better to make a stand earlier with anything, but with a bigger fold-equity-significant stack than later, when your shove doens't have much weight behind it. It's that old saw about tournaments: a cardinal sin is to get blinded away.
Oh well, I did manage to grind some more in $10NL and $1/2 limit. Made a few bucks and ended up above the zero line, so the day wasn't too bad in the big scheme of things.
All-in for now...
