Full Tilt Poker is jerking a lot of us around lately. First, they strong-armed Official Poker Rankings into that weird cease-and-desist thing, then semi-relented, allowing OPR to keep track of an individual player's stats... but only for 30+ player tournaments. That was weird enough, but then they contacted me today and shut down my new bug account, including a confiscation of my entire bankroll (which is in excess of $500, believe it or not). They said I was in violation of their policy of having more than one account open, and that I forfeited my rights to the money. Then, later in the day, they sent me another, unrelated email that strongly suggested that I have colluded with a Mr. Multi in the past, and that I was now forbidden to ever play at the same cash table or SnG of less than 180 players with him again. Totally bizarre, and entirely unfounded. I've exchanged a few unpleasant emails with FT's security staff, and they've now agreed to at least refund my new bug bankroll into the old bug account. They're confiscating all my frequent player points, however, and they essentially told me that they were going to watch my online play very closely. Assholes. As soon as my money arrives (if it does), I'm probably going to go find another site to play on. I'm also going to spread the word that FullTilt has turned against their players, and believes in a guilty-until-proven-innocent fascist state. Arghgh.
Okay, deep breath time.
In other, less unsettling news, I had a good poker strategy meeting today. I presented some thoughts on set-mining, which sparked some interesting discussion. The slides are below. Now, I have to go do some more deep breathing...
