PokerStars Colluders & (Im)Perfect Omaha Day 16 Update

A couple of people have asked me about the PokerStars collusion story I mentioned the other day. Here's the blog where I saw it: http://tinyurl.com/29jlyse

On the Omaha front, I've continued to get in at least 100 (mostly) perfect hands on average per day. The results thus far are as shown here:
One of the things I'm doing a lot more lately in the experiment is taking MP raises in position with somewhat marginal hands that aren't "trap"-type hands. I call this fishing for flops. Having position means you can get off the hand relatively cheap when you don't hit, but when you do hit you can get paid off nicely and/or control the pot size. Here's an example from today's session:

Full Tilt Pot-Limit Omaha, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB ($4.18) UTG ($4) MP ($50.18) CO ($3.90) Hero (Button) ($27.86) SB ($10.17)

Preflop
: Hero is Button with 8, 9, 6, A 1 fold, MP bets $0.25, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.25, SB calls $0.20, 1 fold

(note: this isn't a very strong hand, but having the button means I can control the situation if I do/don't hit the flop)

Flop: ($0.85) 4, A, 8 (3 players) SB bets $0.85, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.85

(I've got top two here, so I felt OK calling. Yes, he could have had aces, but because I had one in my hand, the likelihood of him having the other two drops fairly quickly. I also can't put him on the other sets here, either. The one card I mainly didn't want to see was a diamond on the turn)

Turn
: ($2.55) 7 (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $2.55, SB calls $2.55

(the check here felt weak, so I bet to protect my top two, as there were two flush draws out at this point.)

River
: ($7.65) 8 (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $3.90, SB calls $3.90

(this was one of the few diamonds that I wasn't afraid of. Again, his check felt weak, so I waited until time was almost out and then half-potted him, hoping that he'd come along.)

Total pot:
$15.45 | Rake: $1.03

Results: Hero had 8, 9, 6, A (full house, eights over Aces). SB had Q, 10, A, J (flush, Ace high).

Outcome: Hero won $14.42

All-in for now...
