The Power Of Information

Sometimes you just have to go with your read on a player.... even if the board is screaming at you to "Run away! Run away!"  Here's my hero call of the day:

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

BB ($14.39) UTG ($31.51) UTG+1 ($23.65) MP1 ($24.75) MP2 ($16.49) MP3 ($31.08) CO ($25) Button ($18.25) Hero (SB) ($25.45)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q, Q 1 fold, UTG+1 bets $0.85, 5 folds, Hero raises to $3, 1 fold, UTG+1 calls $2.15

Flop: ($6.25) K, A, A (2 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 checks

Turn: ($6.25) J (2 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $2, Hero calls $2

River: ($10.25) A (2 players) Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $4, Hero calls $4

Total pot: $18.25 | Rake: $0.91

So, why did I make this call? Because (a) my 200+ hands of stats on the villain said he was a 48/42 player; and (b) my notes on him said "doesn't understand position; will play any two suited cards strong from EP."  I had also just seen him river a three outer on the previous had with all kinds of scare cards on the board.

Oh, you probably want to know the result :-)

Results: Hero had Q, Q (full house, Aces over Queens). UTG+1 had 7, Q (three of a kind, Aces).

Outcome: Hero won $17.34

Kids, don't try this at home...
All-in for now...
