A Pretty Good Weekend... (knock on wood it continues)

Played some very sound, very solid poker this weekend. For a change. Seriously. Wow, that was unusual!

In cash, I basically crushed the $25NL games for over $200 in the four hours I played. I didn't run particularly well, either, so I'm doubly happy. I played a very tight upfront, very loose in back game, ranging from 5% UTG to 50% on the button. (I actually created a super LAG starting hand chart and used it to ensure I was following this highly positional approach.) Lots of suited connectors and one-gappers in position was the theme of the weekend. I also worked really hard on determining commitment thresholds, recognizing player stats and stack sizes, and worked on getting off marginal situations, focusing on attacking the weaker players, and avoiding the regs. Reads were also a big part of my success; I was consciously trying to put players on specific hand ranges preflop, and then narrow it down on each progressive street of action. As a result, my lines were easy to figure out, pot control was a no-brainer, and it was relatively straightforward to know where I was in each hand. Here's the brag chart:
I also played four $2.70 super-turbo MTTs (54-man) events. In the first one, I busted out just a couple of people outside the bubble. In the next three I played, however, I finished 2nd, 3rd, and then 2nd again, respectively. In all three deep runs, I had a real shot of winning the whole kaboodle, but just got a little unlucky in the end in every case. Hey, that's poker. In any case, here's the brag chart for the weekend's super fast, super-turbo MTTs:
All in all a pretty good weekend on the felt. Now if I can just keep it up...
All-in for now...
