Full Tilt 2, Brought To You By PokerStars?

Well, the internet rumors are swirling faster than a large Hadron neutrino. The Group Bernard Tapie (GBT) buyout of Full Tilt Poker (FTP) has reportedly died, but PokerStars (PS) seems to have stepped up and agreed to buy FTP. Purchase price is said to be $750M, with $330M earmarked specifically for paying back players.

The two key points that a number of reputable poker news sites are reporting:
  • All players will be refunded 100%
  • Both sites to be allowed back online in the US
I'm not holding my breath quite yet, but this is looking more real than GBT and a handful of other pie-in-the-sky buyouts touted over the past year.

All-in for now...
