Carbon is just another word for a stinkin' lump of coal...

Found this email sitting in my inbox tonight when I got home:

"CarbonPoker has decided to remove rakeback entirely as of January 31st, 11:59 PM EST. All players will be transferred from the rakeback program to the VIP program."

I have to say I'm more than a little disappointed in Carbon Poker. No advance warning, no legitimate reason given, nothing. Just pure, unadulterated greed at work. I'm not sure if I'll leave, but I'm definitely going to take a hard look around and see if there's a different/better site to play on. Dropping stinkin' bombshells like this on loyal customers is not a way to endear yourself to those of us that pay your bills.

All-in for now...

PS. For 99% of life, there is no better country in the world than the USofA to live.... but if you're a poker player, there's a giant stinkin' hole where that other 1% sits. When the f*ck is legal internet poker going to be allowed in this supposed land of the free? My choices as an American online poker player are fairly limited, and this is why, I suspect, sites like Carbon think they can get away with this crap. Where else are we players going to turn? Grrrrr.

  1. Changing things is one thing. Changing things without notice is something else. It's pretty much like saying if you don't like it, go screw yourself.

Capitalism works when there is competition. Coal knows they don't have much, so they can pretty much do what they want, I suppose.
