(Im)Perfect Omaha - Day 8

It's been a few days since I posted, but it's not for lack of playing: I've gotten in my requisite 100 hands of Omaha every day; in fact, some days I've gotten in 200 hands. I've also played some Hold'em, both online and live. Here's the good, the bad, and ugly results:

Imperfect Omaha, Week 1. This one definitely falls into the "good" category. After some early stumbles and misplays, I've slowly been able to right the ship and post some steady profit in the experiment. I've played a little over 1200 hands in total for a net profit of $51, which equates to a (if I do say so myself) fantastic win rate of 19.4 ptbb/100 hands, or about $4 per 100 hands played. Not too shabby. Per the all-in EV graph line in PT3, it looks like I'm running a little better than I should be, but not a whole lot. I'm somewhat concerned that I'm playing much more passively than the books, video, and Moses (aka Guru) say I should be, but the results are speaking for themselves. My VPIP in the 6max rush games has been 27%, but my PFR is way down at 7.7%. Dunno what would happen if I started raising more. Part of me wants to see what would happen, but the conservative part of me keeps saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." My results have been a steady, gentle upward climb and I want to keep it that way. Dunno. Anyway, here are the results thus far:
Online Hold'em. YIKES! I've taken some horrific beats this first week of September. I'm still up, but not nearly as much as I would/should be. To be honest, I haven't fully dissected the results in PT3 yet, so it might not be as much bad beating as I hope. Some post-mortems are due in this area. In any case, here are the online hold'em results for September thus far:
Live Hold'em. I played in my monthly live event on Tuesday night.... and won the damn thing! WOO HOO! In all honesty, I played poorly at first, chasing too far with some marginal hands, plus I just allowed myself to get blinded down to about a third of my starting stack. At that point, I told myself I had to make some mental adjustments and start accumulating chips. One thing led to another and, voila', I took first place and a little over $300 in cash. Not too bad, if I do say so myself. The bad news is that my poker comrades that also played (Mr. Multi, Flyboy, the Guru, et al) all ended up busting out before the bubble. Bummer.

That's all the time I have today...
All-in for now...
