Badly Played Win

Ever win a hand, but was mad at yourself for how you played it? This was one of the first hands I played this morning, and by not maximizing the profit of the hand, I was furious at myself. For the next ten hands I was obsessing about how I jumped the gun on the flop. Said another way: tilt. Ergo, I quit the session and went for a walk.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) - Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com Button ($61.50) SB ($60.55) BB ($58.50) UTG ($24.50) UTG+1 ($29.25) MP1 ($50) MP2 ($78.80) MP3 ($66.35) Hero (CO) ($51.75)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8, 8 UTG bets $1.75, 3 folds, MP3 calls $1.75, Hero calls $1.75, Button raises to $5.50, 2 folds, UTG calls $3.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $3.75

[Notes on Button were: "Reg.  Solid. Squeezed w/  AK"  Felt if I hit I could get paid off.]

Flop: ($19) 8, 7, 7 (3 players) UTG checks, Hero checks, Button bets $11.50, UTG calls $11.50, Hero raises to $25, 1 fold, UTG calls $7.50 (All-In)

[Arghg. Shot my wad too early. Should have waited 'til the turn to make my move, as I think I could of gotten the button committed by that time. Damn. Damn. Damn.]

Turn: ($68.50) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($68.50) 8 (2 players, 1 all-in)

[Sigh]
Total pot: $68.50 | Rake: $3

Results: UTG had Q, Q (two pair, Queens and eights). Hero had 8, 8 (four of a kind, eights).

Outcome: Hero won $65.50

[Woulda-coulda-shoulda been a $125 pot. Need to slow down next time and focus not on the monster I've been dealt, but instead focus on how to maximize the EV. Grrrrrr.]

All-in for now...
